The air was filled with anticipation and the sweet scent of lime and ginger as Treston Institute proudly hosted its annual Cool Drink Dansala 2024! This cherished tradition, brought to life by the collective efforts of our dedicated staff and enthusiastic students, once again proved to be a resounding success, spreading smiles and much-needed refreshment to all who passed by.
Held on the full moon Poya day of Vesak, our dansala was a vibrant hub of activity. From the early morning, our incredible team of student volunteers, guided by our committed staff, worked tirelessly. Lemons were sliced, ginger was crushed, and vast quantities of our special cool drink mixture were prepared with love and care. The energy was palpable as everyone contributed, from setting up the stalls to pouring countless glasses.
This year, the sun shone brightly, making our cool, tangy, and invigorating drink an even more welcome treat for pedestrians, commuters, and pilgrims alike. The genuine joy on the faces of those who stopped for a moment of respite was truly heartwarming.
